Romney and Ryan

Post by veryolfart on Sun Aug 12, 2012 2:43 pm

Well now, this is going to get interesting. The 1% may have this in the bag and the Tea Party movement now has it's men. All we need now is to have Sarah Palin be the keynote speaker at the convention. What a trifecta. Laughing As to the rest of 99%ers. . . Rolling Eyes

I think after seeing his acceptance speech that's it's a good match for Romney. I'm liking it. But No to Palin as the keynote. But it's gonna get ugly not interesting. Tell us your plans not promises.

Where was Dirty Harry?

Post by veryolfart on Thu Aug 30, 2012 11:39 pm

What's with Clint Eastwood??? I expected to see Dirty Harry walk out on stage and tell the people of America, "Go ahead, make my day." Or at least, "Ya feel lucky?" What I saw was a doting old man trying to be a comedian. Who ever came up with this idea ought to be fired. As to the rest of the convention, it was the normal warm and fuzzy yadda yadda. We may find, like in the past, most of the time we have candidates that are all hat and no cattle. confused

Didn't see it yet, gonna find it on the computer later. Guess from what I read it was goofy. scratch I wish actors/actresses/celebrities on both sides would shut up.

Ryan is on a road trip here in Oregon and Washington. Out to drum up support. Funny thing is though, is that he had a get together here in Portland that was by invite only and starting price was $1,000. No public appearances or contact with the media. Smells alot like "Special interest money" is all he's after. Forget the common man on the street, he's broke. I assume he's going to do the same thing in Seattle, WA. Evil or Very Mad Suspect

Somehow, and I don't know how...but each candidate should have an equal amount of money and air time...not the one who raises the most money and their should be a limit. Obama had a $30,000 dinner...same thing I suppose.

He didn't word that very well I agree....but he was meaning all the people that are on the gov handouts and he was going to worry about getting the people who do want to work jobs and create an environment for businesses. Most of the 47% are going to vote Obama and he knows that. Plus there was 3 mins of that tape missing so maybe he clarified it but most of the media is for Obama so they latch onto his "goof".

ya funny how certain tapes, on both sides, go M.I.A.

As for Eastwood - he did an excellent job. If you readh the post interview, as to how that talk happened ... It was most excellent.

I remember something about another time when 15 or so minutes of tape as missing and look how that ended. I guess I'm one of the 47%. I'm unemployed, not looking for work and receive money for doing nothing. Oh, and I only paid $76 last year in taxes last year. Retirement is weird sometimes. Laughing

I watched the debate last night and I think Romney won. Seems like the news agrees with that.
